Meet Our Founder

My name is Abeena Sanasha Lynch and I am a dedicated Advocate, Educator, and mother with over 15 years of experience in Autism and Behaviour Science. My journey is both personal and professional shaped by my role as a mother to a child on the Autism Spectrum. This experience deepened my empathy and commitment to supporting families navigating the complexities of autism.

I have dedicated my career to supporting children, youth, adults, and families in diverse, multicultural settings. My journey began in Guyana, where I cofounded the Green Heart Autism Support Group and the Step-by-Step Foundation, the country’s first school and foundation for children with autism. After relocating to Canada, I expanded my expertise with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Graduate Certificate in Autism and Behaviour Science, and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Currently, I am an Early Intervention Professional collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to foster inclusive, culturally responsive environments. Family First Interventions is committed to providing compassionate, tailored support for families navigating autism, emphasizing early intervention, literacy, and community engagement.
